Samsung is gearing up for a big event on August 9. The company is expected to launch its next flagship phone, Galaxy Note 9, at the Unpacked event in New York. But Samsung is reportedly going to launch a new smartwatch as well – Samsung Galaxy Watch.
Samsung Galaxy Watch is likely to be a big upgrade over the Gear S-series of smartwatches the company has launched over the years. The new wearable is expected to revive buzz in the smartwatch segment currently dominated by the likes of Apple Watch and a range of Android WearOS-based smartwatches.
Samsung has been using its Tizen OS to power its smart watches but there are multiple reports suggesting the company may finally embrace Google’s Android Wear OS. There are also speculation that Samsung may launch both Android and Tizen versions of the Galaxy Watch.
One of the biggest additions to Samsung Galaxy Watch is going to be Bixby, the company’s digital voice assistant that rivals Apple’s Siri. It is worth noting that Apple’s smartwatches come with Siri support.Other expected features of the device include OLED panel for the display, LTE support, and 470mAh battery.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch would be launched in two different sizes, the media quoted a new set of published Federal Communications Commission (FCC) documents.
The bigger Samsung Galaxy Watch could be a sportier variant based on the shape of its chassis while the smaller one has a more traditional design with tabs and the space for interchangeable watch bands, GSMArena reported late on Friday.
Both the models would carry the same name and support the same wide variety of LTE bands as well as WiFi 2.4GHz b/g/n. Earlier this week, the FCC had certified the watches, however, it did not post any photographs though provided a detailed schematic of its rear.

Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Could Be Cheapest Smartphone With Snapdragon 845

By:- Tech News Team

The upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi’s new lineup will be known as the Pocophone F1. The new lineup is reported to be meant for the Eastern European and Indian markets. The latest Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will be backed by a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.

Xiaomi's upcoming Pocophone series of devices could be the cheapest phone to run the Snapdragon 845 processor. This was leaked in a tweet by Roland Quant, who said that the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 could ship with the above-mentioned Qualcomm SoC, and might cost as low as 420 euros (Rs 33,805 approx.). Earlier XDA Developers had posted details about this upcoming smartphone, which they said will be targeted for India.

Roland Quant’s tweet on the upcoming Pocophone says “Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will seemingly be cheap as chips…. listing in eastern Euroland for €420 (6/64GB) and €460 (6/128GB) [prices converted]”. If this is true, the Pocophone F1 would cost Rs 33,800 or thereabouts in India for the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant, making it cheaper than the OnePlus 6, among the flagships already running Snapdragon 845.

Also, the price tag for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage option in India would be about Rs 37,025 on conversion. The details about the phone’s price come from listings marked with EAN-UPC barcodes, raising its authenticity. Reports also show that the Pocophone F1 is aimed at the smartphone markets of India and eastern Europe.

Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has been developed by the company under the code name ‘Beryllium’. It has been known that the phone will feature an LCD display in an 18:9 screen aspect ratio. Rumours suggest that Pocophone F1 could sport a 5.99-inch display, with a notch on top, and a screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels.

This phone will be based on MIUI 9, over and above Android 8.1, and could sport a 4000mAh battery. Given the Snapdragon 845 processor, some reports claim that Pocophone F1 could support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0. The phone is expected to launch as Xiaomi’s fourth flagship of 2018.

Samsung Shows LPDDR5 Memory, Galaxy S10 Could Be First Phone To Get It

By:-Tech News Team

In a phone, RAM is one of the most important components. Now, Samsung has announced a breakthrough in RAM technology saying that it has produced LPDDR5 RAM that can go into phones. According to the company LPDDR5 will have the peak data transfer speed of 6.4 Mb/s, which is 1.5X faster than the speed of existing LPDDR4 that goes into phones like the Galaxy S9. The first phone to get the LPDDR5 could be Samsung's own Galaxy S10, which will likely launch in March next year.

Samsung is one of the biggest memory makers in the world and supplies RAM to almost all major phone companies, including Apple

This development of 8Gb LPDDR5 represents a major step forward for low-power mobile memory solutions," said Jinman Han, senior vice president of Memory Product Planning & Application Engineering at Samsung Electronics. "We will continue to expand our next-generation 10nm-class DRAM lineup as we accelerate the move toward greater use of premium memory across the global landscape

The LPDDR5 RAM modules from Samsung will be available in 8GB capacity, so you can also be assured that next-generation Galaxy phones will have at least 8GB RAM.
The faster RAM should make smartphones more responsive, as well as more tuned for work related to ultra high-definition videos, games with more demanding graphics and overall smoother multitasking.

Based on its industry-leading bandwidth and power efficiency, the LPDDR5 will be able to power AI and machine learning applications, and will be UHD-compatible for mobile devices worldwide," a Samsung spokesperson said.

Samsung is set to launch its latest flagship phone Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 at an event in New York, but chances are that this phone will not have the LPDDR5 RAM. For now, it's all about the announcement of this technology. In fact, Samsung is yet to start mass producing these new memory modules. From announcement to actual use, it can take from a few months to a year so it is possible that the phone releasing next year, including the Galaxy S10, OnePlus 7 and the next-generation iPhone would be the likely candidates to be powered by the LPDDR5.

Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro Is A Great Option For Those Looking For Professional Headphones

Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro Is A Great Option For Those Looking For Professional Headphones

By:- Tech News Team

The DT 240 Pro comes with a long extendable coiled cord. On both ends are gold plated pins that offer better audio quality.

Don’t you want to hear everything? The sound of the street, the creak of the gate, the sparrows on the roof far away. When you hear a coffee machine, the slow drip of the brew triggers something in your brain. Sound in a sense is a bridge to the other senses, and hence to memories. So there is a value you have to associate with the smaller, quieter notes in life. After all, life is not about the heavy, overpowering notes which, though enjoyable, are also superficial.
There are headphones and there are professional quality monitoring headphones such as the Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro. These are on-ear monitoring earphones meant for those who work in the audio industry or other fields where your mind needs to use a headphone for long hours. It is also for those dependent on the smaller notes to make a difference to whatever they do.

The DT 240 Pro comes with a long extendable coiled cord. On both ends are gold plated pins that offer better audio quality. Also, the cord is detachable from headphones in case you want to fold them flat while travelling. Interestingly, both ear cups have ports for the cord so that you can plug into whichever you think is convenient. The ear cups are comfortable when you are wearing it for long hours and keep most of the irritating noises away.
But in the end, a headphone such as the DT 240 Pro is all about the audio quality. The DT 240 Pro offers a deeply rich audio profile that is usually not available on all headphones of this size or price band. In fact, I used the headphones to binge-watch the first series of Hannibal on Netflix during a rather long flight and the experience was so immersive I could head a lot of sounds I would have missed with earphones or wireless headsets. Even with music, while hearing a tabla play, the sounds are richer and more visual because of the sheer space each channel seems to get.
However, since the headphones are meant for professional use, these sport basic features and don’t come with either volume controls on the cord or microphone. Well, those who buy this set don’t need any of those. Anyway, I think given the quality of the audio playback, this should appeal to a lot more people. In fact, I would suggest buying these instead of costlier audiophile headphones as there is not much to differentiate the experience.
Given that the Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro is priced at just Rs 7,500, this is a great option for professionals as well as those who just want to enjoy their music or movies without any distortion.
*Estimated street price: Rs 7,500

By:- Tech News Team

Soon after Honor president Zhao Ming Confirmed the existence of the Honor Note 10, some images and specs of the upcoming phablet have now surfaced online. The leaked screenshots of the Honor Note 10 was reportedly taken from the device's official page on Honor.cn. The images not only reveal the design of the Honor Note 10, but also confirms some of the specs as well.
The screenshots spotted by CNMO reveal that the Honor Note 10 will sport a tall 6.9-inch 2K AMOLED display with slim bezels for a possible 18:9 aspect ratio. This keeps in line with what we have come to hear about the phone in the past. The back, which is likely made up of metal, will sport a dual camera setup on the top left corner and a fingerprint sensor placed near the center. There is no way to confirm whether the design is true or not so one should take the report with a pinch of salt.

As per the screenshots, the Honor Note 10 will be powered by a Kirin 970 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Notably, the phone will also feature the company's GPU Turbo tech that was recently also featured on the Honor 10 GT. The technology will boost the phone's graphic chip to enhance gaming experience. The Honor Note 10 will also house a large 6,000mAh battery as per the screenshot. If the latest leak is true, Honor will likely tout the upcoming flagship as an entertainment powerhouse.
Lastly, the image also mentions a 16-megapixel sensor as the main camera on the Honor Note 10 with AI support that will be provided by the Kirin chipset. There is no mention of what the secondary camera and front camera will bring. Zhao Ming did not provide a timeline on when the Honor Note 10 will be unveiled, but considering how the phone was accidentally listed on the company's official site, we could be just a few weeks away from its launch.

Jio Giga Fiber Launched And Here Are Possible Prices, Data Plans That Will Be Announced On August 15

By:-Tech News Team

After a year full of rumors, speculations, leaks, and beta trials, Jio has finally launched its fiber-based broadband service and it is calling it the Jio GigaFiber service. The company says that Jio GigaFiber will be the largest greenfield fixed-line broadband rollout anywhere in the world, with rollout happening in 1,100 cities of India simultaneously. The beta test for the service is already live in select cities and the registrations for the service will begin from August 15.
The company's chairman Mukesh Ambani said that though the registrations will be open for all but locality that registers the highest number of registrations for JioGigaFiber will be given preference by the company.
Talking about the devices that will come with the Jio GigaFiber broadband connection, it will come with a router and a Jio Giga TV set-top-box. The company at its 41st Annual Global Meeting announced that Jio engineers will come to your doorstep to set up the service and the entire process of setting it up should not take more than an hour. Jio aims to connect 5 million homes with the Jio GigaFiber.
Jio Giga TV set-top-box which was also in rumors for quite some time will offer more than 600HD channels and a unique JioTV calling feature when paired with Jio GigaFiber. It will allow users to make a video call on televisions as well as smartphones operating on the Jio GigaFiber connection.
The possible plan of action for Jio GigaFiber registration could be this- You will have to contact the nearby Jio store or a request for a connection. This is for the areas where beta testing is live. Jio will review the request and if it is possible to install giga fiber in that area it will offer you the Jio GigaFiber for trial.
Jio last year said that all the delay in Jio GigaFiber was due to the extension of Jio 4G commercial launch until 31 March and the Jio GigaFiber could launch after March 2018. Today can be called as the soft launch of the service as the final full-fledged roll out of the connection could still take some time.

Now the most important question is the price. The company did not announce anything on the price at today's event but past reports suggest that Jio could ask you to deposit Rs 4500 as an installation charge which can be refunded in case you want to discontinue the service.
Jio is currently running the trials of the service in select cities. There are chances that Jio could offer plans somewhat similar to the JioFiber preview offer which we have talked about in the past. Jio could offer 100GB data per month at the speed of 100mbps and once the user reaches the limit, the speed may slip to 1mbps.
Alongside the data, the user may also get Jio bouquet of services including the 5GB cloud storage. A past report suggests that Jio broadband plans could be divided into three categories- Jio Giga Fiber Speed-based plans, Jio Giga Fiber Volume-based plans, and Jio Giga Fiber special broadband plan.
Jio GigaFiber speed-based plans:
These plans could start at Rs 500 and go up to Rs 5500. With Rs 1500 recharge, the user will get 2000 GB data at 50 Mbps speed for 30 days. For Rs 2000, it will be 1000GB at 100Mbps. At Rs 3500, the user will get 750GB at 200Mbps speed. Similarly, for Rs 4000, it will be 500GB at 400 Mbps speed and 300GB at 600Mbps for Rs 5500.
Jio GigaFiber volume-based monthly plans:
These plans could start from 5GB to 60GB daily. The 5GB daily plan could cost user Rs 1000, 10 GB daily plan for Rs 2000, 20GB daily plan costs Rs 3000, 40 GB daily plan for Rs 4000 and 60GB daily plan at Rs 5000. Validity could be for 30 days.
Jio GigaFiber special broadband plans:
This plan is for those who want to enjoy Jio Fiber broadband internet at low cost. It will be offered with Rs 500, Rs 800 and Rs 1000 recharge options.

Light’s ground breaking L16 camera generated a great deal of excitement over its 16-camera design, but early reviews have largely fallen short of the hype. The company is pushing full speed ahead, though, and will reportedly be unveiling a first-of-its-kind smartphone that has as many as 9 cameras on the back.

Here’s what the existing Light L16 looks like (the image above is an unofficial illustrative mockup, by the way.
Light, a startup known for its 16-lens camera, is bringing its futuristic technology to a new smartphone.

The Washington Post reports that it has seen working prototypes of the Light smartphone that have between 5 and 9 lenses on the back.
The upcoming smartphone reportedly captures 64-megapixel photos with “better low-light performance and sophisticated depth effects” by combining all the images from the multiple cameras into a single picture.
By comparison, the Light L16 captures 52-megapixel shots using its 16 cameras.

The Light smartphone will be announced later in 2018, the Post reports, but don’t expect it to come cheap given that the Light L16 is a $1,950 point-and-shoot camera.

Facebook And Twitter Introduce New Tools Regarding Ads Transparency

By:- Tech News Team

At a press conference held on Thursday, Facebook COO  Sheryl Sandberg announced some major changes in regards to social network’s stance regarding advertisement transparency. With these new changes, users will be able to go to public pages, rather those belong to brands or public figures such as politicians, and find a wealth of information regarding the page and the ads found on it. This “Info and Ads” panel will include the page’s history and name changes as well as information pertaining to the ads running on the page. You’ll be able to find information on every ad on the page, the site the ads want users to visit and the ad copy.
In terms of political ads, Facebook will allow users to see how much various political organizations have spent on advertisements on Facebook as well as see what ads are being shown in particular countries. Facebook is likely hoping that these changes will protect them from accusations of foreign meddling which is something that has plagued the company, and social media in general, since the 2016 elections.
Speaking of the wider social media industry, Facebook isn’t the only one making such changes. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has announced that Twitter is rolling out an “Ads Transparency Center” which will allow users to find out who is advertising on Twitter and how much money they are spending on the platform. It will also make it easier for users to report suspicious ads. However, some users have argued that Twitter’s changes aren’t going far enough. Several users replied to Dorsey’s tweet with questions regarding fake bot accounts.

ROCKET DEVELOPED BY JAPAN STARTUP BURSTS INTO FLAMES SECONDS AFTER LIFTOFF

By:- Tech News Team

A rocket developed by a Japanese startup company burst into flames seconds after a failed liftoff Saturday in northern Japan.
The MOMO-2 rocket, developed by Interstellar Technologies, was launched in Taiki town on Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island. It was supposed to reach as high as 100 kilometers into space.
Television footage showed that the 10-meter (33-foot) pencil rocket lifted only slightly from its launch pad before dropping to the ground, disappearing in a fireball. Footage on NHK public television showed a charred rocket lying on the ground.
The incident caused no injuries.

Japan's privately developed rocket, MOMO-2, is in flames after the rocket failed to liftoff in Taiki, Japan. AP Interstellar Technologies president Takahiro Inagawa said he believes the rocket suffered a glitch in its main engine.
He apologized for the failure, and said his team would collect the debris to analyse the problem and improve the rocket.Saturday's failure was the second after the rocket's first launch last July.
The project was started in 2005 by maverick entrepreneur Takafumi Horie, founder of internet service provider Livedoor, who was joined by science journalists and other space fans in an effort to develop a small, lightweight and low-cost rocket to send information satellites into space.
